Chemical manufacturers and importers are required to obtain or develop a Material Safety Data Sheet for each hazardous chemical they produce or import. Distributors are responsible for providing their customers with a copy of these MSDS pages. Employers must have an MSDS data sheet for each hazardous material they use. Employers must be able to rely on information from their suppliers.
In our country, the preparation, content and preparation authorizations of material safety data sheets are determined by the “Regulation on Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Substances and Mixtures”, and a special MSDS certificate must be obtained for each chemical product and material that needs to be controlled in accordance with the relevant Regulation. Both the product name and the supplier in the MSDS must match the material in use. The MSDS validity period is a maximum of 2 years for each product. It must be updated every 2 years.
